Indeed a happy ending. Mama Porsche seems to be alot more serious than your dealer who asked for 6000$ for potential labor.
Enjoy your new ride.
As others said, I would pass on the extended insurance ( for now ). But that is just me.

Awesome!!! Congratulations!

Pass on the warranty for now. If you do decide to keep for longer, you can always tag it on later.

Congrats!! Glad to hear it went in your favor. Can't wait for those pics...and that big *** smile on your face!!

As for the warranty..negotiate that. They always mark that up big time. They owe you something else anyway. You can get a cheaper price on that. You should get that warranty for a bit over 3k. Stand hard or tell them NO and they will come down..they always do. I have an 07 4S no warranty but they offered one for just over 3k. Your call.

Enjoy!

Happy to hear the good news, I would skip the warranty, there is no IMS to break.

Awesome news! Enjoy the new car. I'd pay $3K for the warranty like RaidersR1 said...

I would buy a car with a freshly rebuilt engine over a factory new engine any day, because it will have been assembled under closer scrutiny than anything off of an assembly line.

I like the warranty issue. 50% are pro and 50% are con.
It seems like we are not help!

Congratulations! For the warranty I agree you can get it later, but to make sure you aren't missing an opportunity, call Costco auto warranty and a local dealer and see what the cost would be to extend four years now and if the car was three years old with 30,000 and still under warranty. (Might not be able to get that answered, but worth a try).

My decision now is that they are offering an extended comprehensive warranty (Nationwide) which will cover my new car for 3 years beyond the manufacturer's 4 year for $4950. Warranty would transfer to new owner if I sold or I could cancel at anytime and be refunded prorated amount. Thoughts? I do plan to keep this car for a while, but I have said that about my last three cars too. I mean it this time

Sorry the issue occurred in the first place, Cutters, but great news on the resolution. Congrats and enjoy the new 991S!
