Where to source a PSE???

Folks,

Other than walking into a dealer and taking the plunge, is/are there any shop(s) that offer OEM Porsche products? I'm looking for either a new or used (in excellent condition) PSE.

Thanks for your help!

Thank you! They have it for $2600 which is what my dealer quoted me. I wonder if prices vary based on location. I believe I visited a thread recently where the OP mentioned that his dealer gave him a special deal and he was able to purchase the PSE for ~$2000.

Keep in touch w/ Porsche forums, eBay, etc for guys that are either selling or trading their cars in and might remove the PSE. Thats how I found mine many years ago.

Condition and price? Please keep in mind I'm a very meticulous guy and I've found that sometimes what a many individuals consider to be excellent/mint is good/fair to me. Would you be willing to take some detailed shots?

Please feel free to PM me details.

Thank you.

Its a 7 year old setup, its probably not going to be in good enough shape for you then. Your best best will be to fork out the cash for the new one.

Just make sure you buy one for the 997.2. I don't think the 997.1 version will fit correctly. Maybe someone w/ some experience in this area will pipe in.

I was wondering this...I believe they are the same, but I will verify.

$2600 is about right, plus $1000-1200 to install. Depending on condition of you present cans and tips you should be able to sell them on eBay for 500-700. I sold mine for 700, bringing my dealer installed net price down to $2900. If you are PCA member make certain you ask for the 10-15% parts and labor discount at dealer.

All great points, thanks! I should be able to get decent money for my current setup, as the cans on my car currently have the gundo hack done to them, and they are mated to AWE cross pipes. Setup sounds killer, I just want the ability to regulate sound from inside the cabin and keep things OEM.

With GUNDO and AWE cross pipes, you will certainly not have any problem in selling them either here or on eBay. Good luck and let us know your final outcome.

I found and bought my PSE mufflers and tips off eBay for $1,200 delivered. Probably another $650 in assorted parts plus a $1,000 for the factory spec'd install along with a SSK. The PSE I bought had 5K miles on it and came off a GTS - mufflers were a little dirty but cleaned up like new. Still waiting for 2 smalls parts to arrive from Germany until the install takes place. Can't wait to press the switch
