997.1 Daytime Running Lights - DRL
Just had a question about the 997.1 DRL. Does turning on the DRL through the PCM just keep the lights on? I thought it was just a dimmer version of the lights but today i realized that my lights were on just like i would turn them on at night. Any insight would be appreciated.

The Porsche DRL's are full strength low beam lights on all the time. There is no option to 'dim' them down or even use the driving lights as DRLs.
You can put in LED replacement driving lights and have them set as DRLs and turn off the PCM setting though. (this is done by hardwiring the LEDs so your car won't 'know' they're on) No CEL so I'm told. Hope that helps.
