Since you asked for our opinions here's mine.
I personally hate the new lettering on the 991 model
The 911 is the most iconic car ever built and 99.9% of all people immediately recognizes it. If find it amazing that Porsche managed to stick to the same shape for 50 years.
Just look at the Corvette for example and compare a 50 year old Corvette with a newer model, no resemblance at all
So that Porsche now needs to spell out that a 991 is a Porsche AND a Carrera and a 911 is just plain stupid and it looks odd.
Why the long rant, because you are drifting into the same direction ...
I'd keep it plan & simple. Just my 2 cents. At the end it's your car and you can do with it whatever makes you happy :-)

Another vote for 'too busy', I don't like the new 991 badges for the same reason. A simple '911' or 'PORSCHE' will work. Before you know it, someone will do the '2006 Porsche 911 997.1 Targa 4.' That way, people will never asked you what you have.

 

I put Porsche on my doors so people would know what my car is.

 

Don't forget the "S" and oh yeah....Turbo for those that pose.

 

i was thinking same thing with my GTS, but decided i liked it just the way it is.

 

I go "911 targa"

 

Personally, I would either do "Targa" or "911" not all of the above plus "4".
