I have a set of gundo'd mufflers that I'm selling and I'm curious what people here think they might be worth. I plan to offer them on the boards, so I have to set a price - as opposed to an auction telling me what the market will pay. They were on my car when I got them and I put another 5k miles on them before swapping them out. They have both bypasses on them and they sound great. So good, in fact, that I'm pulling the Cargraphics off my car in favor of Afterhours mufflers because the Cargraphics are a bit mellower than this set of gundos. Welds are beautiful, but they are solid. Overall condition is very good. They were obviously painted after the gundo and the paint is chipping in certain areas - purely cosmetic. Thoughts on fair value? I have a value in my head and I want to see if it's close to the suggestions here. Thanks.

 

If it is just the cans (no exhaust tips), $150 to $200.

Unmodified OEM mufflers can be had for about $200-$250 plus shipping. Yours would likely sell for around $300 plus shipping. Asking below $300 would almost guarantee a sale. Asking more than $400 would take a while to find the right buyer.

i was thinking, based on prices for a gundo mod, purchasing full fisters and these having both bypasses, they should be in the $300-$400 range, so it looks like that's probably a fair asking price. i have 2 sets of S tips also, but wasn't sure someone would need the tips. i'm considering a mod to my spare set. appreciate the help.

 

I just noticed that you have not a single Gundo, but a double-Gundo.

Given you have a double-Gundo by-pass setup, I would price it no less than the Fister price.

 

What purpose does the additional by-pass serve?

 

Deeper raspier sound. It sounds good but no performance gains.

the 2nd is considered the 'banana mod' - apparently done more on the 996s before the 997 gundo. the addition of the banana only enhances the sound. i have to say, with 200 cell cats, these do sound wonderful. it's not as deep as some of the aftermarket - tubi, cargraphics, etc. - but it has that raspy, higher pitch sound. i actually think that's a better sound, but i'm moving on to the Afterhours set up, hoping for more sound than this set up or the CGs. if you still have stock cats, this will be a nice upgrade. if you have the 200 cell cats, this is a wonderful sound and most will love it.

 

Banando mod. Extremely rare. Big $$.

Gundo is proven, what you have is unknown so IDK how to price this.

 

it's far from an unknown mod, but thanks for the suggestion of 'double the mod = half the price'. maybe you could have stuck with 'idk how to price this' instead.
