damn, I hate to be stupid sometimes. I had a big bag of groceries on pass seat, it must have a weight sensor in the seat or something.

Your vehicle is equipped with a weight sensing system for the passenger's seat in accordance with U.S. Federal/Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 208.
Depending on the weight acting on the front passenger's seat, the front passenger's airbag will automatically be switched on and off.

 

My wife's BMW beeps when it senses weight and the seatbelt isn't fastened. She called me in a panic on morning, but it was her handbag riding shotgun causing all the ruckus.
