so far, great. But i only had it for couple of weeks.

i clean it and wax it just like a painted part, so hopefully i can keep it looking good for years.

Plus, i am more conscious of the foot dragging on it now so i am more careful getting in and out. I rarely even touch it with my foot now.

Very nice!
Is the classic9 leather console comparable to the oem version? I'm also thinking about a leather console...

thx !

ur interior was the inspiration behind mine.. but i still can't believe i paid over $70 for an umbrella.

Classic9 seem to match the OEM very well and the price is great IMO. A member here with eye for detail (Ken from Irvine who no longer lives in Irvine ) had his done couple of years ago, and seems happy with the outcome. Here is a pic of his center console (incl lid). He sent in a sample piece from his interior so classic9 can even match the stitching.

It really nice! It looks difficult to install. I still have a CF console trim I haven't install b/c it looks like it might take half of my day.

Can't get your pic to open. How does their work compare to exclusive option?

i haven't seen their work personally so i can't comment. I am just trusting Ken Perhaps he'll chime in later.

thx.

Its not difficult to install at all. However, u have basically one shot with the outer trim to get it on right since it has double-sided tape. So its best to find a proper placement, then mark the spots with painters tape before actually peeling off the double-sided tape. I would suggest a friend to help u keep it in place to get a better fitment.

I focused on getting the rear perfectly aligned (since i would see it every time the door is opened) However, by the time i got the front taped on, i noticed a slight gap between at the very end. (no pic available right now, maybe later) Its not enough to bother me and since that first day, i didn't even really pay attention to it anymore.

A $70 umbrella you'll probably never use!
I'll check out classic9, thanks for the info. Problem for me is finding someone other than OEM, to have the right color leather (carrera red) that will match.
