I'm on an overseas biz trip right now, but will try disconnecting the battery and pre-ignition resetting when I return in about a week.

Yes, did check but no error codes at all.

09 C2S
had it at the dealer for several days, they tried it several days in the morning. They waited to get another 2 09 C2S to the shop. They communicated with the master tech at PNA, normal variant. If not throwing a code do not worry. Could be due to exhaust recirculation when car is very cold.
Is yours worse with colder weather?
