Cup Holder Trim

Dealership replaced cup holder that would not remain in the closed position under warranty. Requested that aluminum trim be replaced as well as it appeared to bowed inward. Service advisor indicated that was bow was part of the design and not a result of the broken cup holder. Trim was not replaced. I thought it was flat but was told the 997's are slightly curved inward. Is this correct?

Yup, they all have a slight curve. I wondered about this on my own car, but after studying many pictures, I noticed the curve is part of the design.
