Everytime i take the car out i wash her before she goes back to sleep. Hose with running water, flippin the wash mitt as i go along. Drying with synthetic chamois first followed by a big micro fiber towel. Done in 30 min. Everynow and then i use car shampoo. And every few months clay if needed polish if needed wax for sure.

I wiped my car down with a wet Sammy at the end of the day or two Then once every other week I hand wax it. No issue here, forget to mention I live in a high rise and no access to water hose for car wash.

I use the two sponge method with a bucket with a grit guard in it. Works great. You can find a bucket with a grit guard at most of the online detailing sites. When it comes to drying, I pull the car into the garage, blast it with the blow setting on my vac and then spray detail spray or Griot's spray-on wax as I wipe it down. My car is black and it leaves it with no spots or scratches. p.s. I always wash the wheels first with completely different washing tools. Never mix you wheel cleaning tools/buckets with the rest of the car.

Not to hijack the thread, but I use Zaino products for my cars, awesome wax, and the shine is amazing.
Can be bought online.

Cheers,

I'm a skeptic at heart. If this worked it would be a good fit for me during cold MN winters. My garage is heated so a no-rinse wash & wax would be ideal. Washing outdoors is impossible in freezing temps for obvious reasons.

Spent the $20, just finished the first try and I have to say I'm impressed! This will work for me in the winter for certain. Here's what I bought, Optimum No Rinse Wash & Wax: http://www.optimumcarcare.com/onrwnw.php?li=2

No affiliation, just happy it lived up to my expectations. Black car here too.
