tried to reset the windows.

no luck.

where are the motors located?

and do i need to remove the smartop device prior to taking it in?

Why would you do that? Its a simple accessory.

just wondering since they have replaced so many parts and still have not resolved the issue, would they try blaming it on the smart top?

they car is certified for another year.

I would not worry about it. I would try another dealer, when mine did it they diagnosed it immediately that it was a simple adjustment.
