problem fitting Zunsport grill to aerokit
Hi Folks
997.1 C2s with aerokit. I got the Zunsport grills for the GT3 (cause of aerokit) and there is no way they will fit. Grills look about 3/4" too long as per pic, but the right shape otherwise. Can anyone comment?

Grilles ?
Hi Kiwi,
Did you ever get the ZunSport grill to fit your aerokit 997?
I am about to buy them of my 997.1 aerokit car, and hope they will work.
Please let me know what you did, thanks.

I don't have the aero bumper but I do have the grilles and based on your picture they fit. If they are the same as the version I have you need to insert the clip side first (right hand in the picture and then there is a post on the other side that get inserted into pilot holes that you make. Put in the clip side, mark where the posts line up for the holes. Take it back out drill your pilot holes and insert the left hand post side first. The right hand side should then snap into place with the clip. That's how mine went in anyway.
They do not fit into the opening all the way at the back, they fit half way in between the front and the back supported by the clip on the right hand side, the post on the left and a single screw that should have come with them also on the left I believe. You do need at least one pilot hole and a screw which goes into the bumper.

No, there is no screw at least in the aerokit grills. I did get it to fit, but the grills are more bowed out to the front of the car than they should be. You actually need to get the pin side in first and then use a string to bow it out to get the clip side in.
