Spacers with winter rims/tires?

Quick question to anyone with experience in this area..
I am looking into driving my C4S in the winter for the first time this season. TireRack has an attractive 18" rim/tire package, with the rear rim size 18x10 and tires 265/40. Given that I have OEM Turbo II 19x11 wheels with 305/30 rubber, will I need spacers? I can ask TireRack, but thought I'd check here first!
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks

I have a 2009 4S with 19" OEM winters. Found them on craigslist -- -very cheap. Wouldn't you rather have the 19" OEMs? You can probably pick up a set of lobsters or carrera classics for next to nothing. I've seen after market winter wheel sets on 911s and they just don't look right at all.

To answer your question though, check out the wheel calculator on this website: http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator

Nothing wrong w/spacing out to where ever you want the wheel to sit.
I actually run 8 1/2J 18s all around in the winter (wife's C4S) spaced out to look just like her summer TechArt 19s......18s here in the pic.

Great, thanks for the valuable info 911cv and Gregg! It's true that I'd rather have Porsche wheels, and knowing that 18 x 8.5s work is great. Appreciate the link to the calculator as well. Will let you know what I wind up with!

I actually like those 18s!! Sort of looks like RUF wheels. Nicely done.

Appreciate the kind words......as a point ref here are summer 19s.....Techart GT's which, of course, out of the box have black centers and machined/polished lips. Both sets were custom painted to compliment car. BTW, not car color, but rather to compliment GT Silver w/Stone Grey top. The car was done up just to be a pretty Pcar, nothing harsh....she'll never be tracked, was an anniversary gift for the wife a few yrs back..

Agree, looks great. Do you notice a difference with the hardtop on?

I have a similar winter setup on my 996tt. The wheels I have are the OZ Alleggeritas - 8.5x18 f and 10x18 rear. I have 15mm spacers all around.

You can use the spacers with our winter sets if you choose to, but they are not required. Please call me if you have any more questions.

Thanks.

Thanks again for all the informative responses, including Damon from TireRack. Sounds like the hardtop won't be worth it for me, or I can at least see how it goes without it. Much more bang for the buck from rubberized floor mats
