Broken Seat Control Switch

Has anyone had an issue with a passenger snapping the small plastic clip that holds the electric seat adjustment to the controller?

I friend of mine snapped the part off and i was able to glue it back on, but it definitely won't last. I found the entire part on ebay, but its insane to spend $300 for a 10cent plastic clip

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Is this what you broke? If so, then it will be $500+ parts alone. My son broke the button 4 years ago and I still haven’t fix it because it is a $1000 job at the dealer. The white piece is part of the motor assembly and needs to replace as a whole. The motor is at least $450 last time I check, and need the 2 switches because the old switches won’t work with the revised new motor. It can be DIY job but required seat removal, shut down airbag and disassemble of the seat. I really hope this is not your case because it will be costly.

Angry

Hi guys,

Same issue, I have added details on my case on this thread.

I have the plastic parts on both sides, investigating if this can be glued.

Please let me know if you've found some smart way of fixing this.

Rather than some kind of glue or super-glue, did you try a marine epoxy? That's the one that has two tubes (glue and catalyst), hardens almost like steel and can be molded or milled if needed.

Just a thought...
