I'd ask this question in the detailing section here on 6speed: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/detailing-30/

Two tricks I've used to touch up Porsche's soft touch interior parts. (1) I found some shoe polish cream that matched my interior color well, dabbed it in the scratch and lightly buffed. This hides small nicks. (2) Another option is to take a plastic part with you to Home Depot (e.g. ash tray) and have them match their paint to your interior color. This also works pretty well for small things.

But if it's a long and deep scratch, I'm not sure of a good option other than replacing the part. Hopefully it's not on your main dash. The defroster vents for example wouldn't be too hard to swap out if that's the part that got scratched.

What kind of paint will not react with the original paint? I have been told that the normal car paint reacts badly with the soft touch paint as it raises the edges of the oem paint where it was scratched

Mspeedster is a great guy despite the fact that he cost me thousands of $$$$$$$ by tempting me with his beautiful center console in leather….I had to order one myself. Other than that he's OK!

Glad it worked out Rick!

Good news! You'll always be able to see the scratches...but they will be near invisible to anyone else.

Yes, but it will be well worth it once you see how great the leather center console looks.

Plus you don't have to worry about scratching the soft touch paint on that part.

Hahaha, the scratches are practically invisible even to me. I really wonder why they used such a fragile paint on these surfaces. Kinda stupid for me. These parts should be high wear resistant areas.
