I know that this is a problem with the 996's, but mine started doing that a while ago. It now happens more and more.
I know there was a part available that prevented this from happening. Something that you could do yourself. Does this work once the problem has started?
Any experiences here?

My 2nd gear pop's out once every so often. I'm not sure if it's because I'm not seating it properly or if my shifter cables are on their way out (or something else). I'm interested to see if anyone experiences this as well.

 

It usually means the synchronizer is worn but I suppose it could be a linkage adjustment.
