I am looking to replace my 2011 997.2 GTS Coupe Bose sub enclosure with a custom unit and was wondering how people are approaching interlocking into the metal brackets that the Bose unit slides into?

I could essentially notch out the MDF enclosure on the bottom where those metal brackets are located and fabricate some interlocking assembly. This would make the enclosure more complex, but not impossible by any means.

Anyone else do this or take another approach and can send pics?
