Mod questions

Hey all,

Thinking about getting the Fabspeed primary and secondary muffler bypass, as well as their intake for my 997.2 C2S cab. Any one have any thoughts on this? I know it's going to be loud. I was thinking about just going with the secondary bypass pipes and the intake to keep it a little quieter though. Any members with some videos? The videos Fabspeed posted aren't that great and are pretty distorted.

I'm also thinking about tracking my Cab. I have a shop who will build me a roll bar, and I'd put new seats in with pass-throughs. After that, I'd find an LSD from somewhere for the car.

I know people will call me crazy, but I have a special bond with this car and I don't want to see it go any time soon.

Thanks in advance,
Stephen

OCT is infamous around these parts
Honestly it's too hard to judge the sound from YouTube, they are all about the same, only loud and louder....
I have a 997.1, so I can't help you out
But I am thinking about to get muffler bypass too, I do a little bit research and find a lot of folks did muffler bypass in the past, 80% people said it is too loud...
Hope you find your own answer.

[QUOTE="firstmovado2013;4010340"]I have the Fabspeed Maxflow Mufflers and X Pipe on my 2009 997.2. I drove around with just the Maxflow Mufflers for about a year and love the sound and now with the X Pipe it just gave it a throatier and deeper sound. If you start with just the Maxflow mufflers it sounds too loud at 3k to 4k rpm and sometimes it gets really annoying. However after the Xpipe was installed it really balanced the sound at 3k to 4k rpm so i would recommend getting both the maxflow and xpipe if you can.

I had a muffler bypass with sport cats… all i can say is omfg my ears!!! It was to loud. Not only that. You loose back pressure which means less low end power.

I've had a tough time finding instructions for the gundo hack on a 997.2.

Also, any one have info on an LSD for the 997.2 C2S'?

If you want yo track you might want to look into sound limits. At Laguna Seca the SPL limit is pretty low and a lot of guys get black flagged. My stock set up allows me to run WOT without a thought.

Look up Guards transmissions out of Boulder , CO. They have a LSD for the PDK now.
