Every once in a while, we ALL need a little reminder, and this short little video REALLY struck a cord with me.

yes . SO was the point of the video speed?
the car was going 100kph or ~62mph on what appeared to be a country road in Australia. Is that excessive?

Good point. Always expect the unexpected. And always assume the other guy is an idiot. You would usually be correct.

I think the point was speed. While the driver pulling out was at fault, the hill and junction may have justified a slower speed on the part of the other driver.

I think the point is, if you drive slower, you have more options in case someone else makes a mistake; if you drive fast, you have little to no options if someone makes a mistake.

That said, if it results in everyone driving 30mph everywhere I'd shoot myself.

Puts a sobering perspective on the need to pay attention when one is driving especially when others are in your car.

Its too bad that the people who need to see this video most likely wont...

WOW that is a great way to send the message. I wish Paul Walker would have seen that before it was too late.

It is Australia, the car is doing 106kph (~66 mph), and yet... it still serves as a great reminder that there are times and places that coming along faster than other drivers are expecting isn't a very good idea.

Very nicely done PSA. Thanks for the reminder.

Sobering...my 17 yo daughter was just t-boned on passenger side. Completely totaled 3 month old X3. She waked away with only shattered nerves. Thanks BMW Assist. Insurance completely covering new one (pick up in 2days!)

Paul Walker had no choice. He was a passenger. This was two mistakes. Speed is dangerous but pulling out in front of someone has caused just as many deaths as speed. If I had my kid in the car I would have looked both ways several times before pulling out. I agree however it is a very eye opening ad and does make you think how things can change your life forever.
