NFS007 is infamous around these parts
I have the carfax report and there are 11 service records which consist of oil changes, tire balancing and rotations, horn replaced, service completed in 2006,2007, 2008 and no yearly service history on carfax from 2009-2012 but it did have the oil and filter changed during that time frame. Confirmed No accidents, car has OEM GT33 body kit from original purchase from porsche and dealer installed it. The car has a front spoiler lip that was painted that's what is indicated on the report as paint not factory but entire body is factory so ignore that part.

Mileage = 27,442
Price = $48,850
Tiptronic Transmission

don t like "no service history". it may need plugs ($700 job unless you can DIY, but it in t easy).
Front and rear spoiler painted... plus possible damaged wheels repaired. Maybe an accident car.
Tires coming up very soon.
I think you can do better as far as condition of cars. Now I don t know about price and mileage so....

if I couldn t 100% determine if thats the RMS or not I d walk. I can t believe someone would leave that like that unless they didn t want to get into a big repair (so they traded it in). At this point I wouldn t trust the selling dealer on this either.
Lots to think about, again I think you can find cars without oil coming from the bottom before you even drive it away. I mean if it was just the oil pan gasket it probably would have been fixed. Got to worry they just don t clean up the bottom and put it back out.
Don t want to rain on your parade but IMO either work out these issues or walk.
Research Rear main seal if you are not up to date on this known issue.

may I add one more thing, the DME while not bad is not clean as many of us have seen. I had 0 in all ranges and mine was a 6 speed (more prone to over revs).
Maybe someone can answer how a tip tronic (auto) can over rev????

Cerbomark, the tech stated it is an RMS seepage that has most likely been going on for sometime but there are no signs of oil dripping. The second owner who is the selling dealer bought the car in May 2012 and since ownership only put on 849 miles and that could be the reason for the seepage. Now since the dealer posted the car for sale on ebay the car sat on the showroom floor for weeks with no signs of oil stains on the floor so they say.... I am very aware of the RMS issues and I'm sick and tired of even talking about it to be honest. What do you think about the price?

Are you sick and tired of talking about the RMS issue because of what you found on the previous car's PPI, or just because you love this second car so much that you are willing to overlook a "seeping" RMS? If that's the case, and you are comfortable with the PPI results, just make the best deal you can and buy the car. I think Cerbomark made some great points, but, with all due respect, you seem to be convincing yourself that the oil "seepage" is not an area of concern regardless of what anyone says.

Blake, to be honest I'm sick and tired because I can't believe how unlucky I can be in my hunt for my 911... Just a month ago I found 2 cobalt blue 2007 911's but were over my budget at the time and lost out on those deals then just 3 weeks later I found 2 other 911's in my all time favorite color (cobalt blue) again with low miles and after intense negotiating and weeks and spending a lot of time back and forth with the sellers, BOOM I get hit with the RMS leak roadblock!!! I guess you might be right of my love of this second 911!!! Right now I'm on the fence and not sure which decision to take and don't want to let my emotion get the best of me. Interestingly, I was able to do some recon and found out the dealer bought this car for $49,900 2 yrs ago from a ford dealership and he has only put 850 miles and now wants to sell it and I don't understand why anyone would buy a porsche and have it be a garage queen??? Another thing is he feels like he can sell the car for $50-$52k but I was able to negotiate the price down to $48,850 and now that we found this RMS leak issue he's not willing to get the repair done which is about ($1800-$2000) and he's not willing to lower the price even a single penny. I guess he was trying to break even or take a very small loss... He even tried to convince me that the dealership are just trying to make money on repairs and the car is just fine and well maintained. Well that's why I'm here to get some feed backs from everyone but at the end of the day I know I'll have to make my own decision based on my risk tolerance....

Searching for a used Porsche can be a very lengthy and frustrating process. It takes a lot of patience, and many ups and downs. It is easy to let your emotions and excitement get the best of you, and make a decision that you end up regretting. It happens all the time.

I think most people on this forum and Rennlist are genuine and eager to offer free helpful advice when asked, without ulterior motives. I'm sure that's why you have asked for opinions here -- perhaps to keep yourself from making an emotional decision that could potentially cost you thousands!

What are the particulars on the current Porsche -- year, model, colors, options, etc. It would be easier for people to offer some pricing opinions with more details. I don't see where you gave this info about the second car, but forgive me if I missed it.
