Does gundo affect torque of car?

Installed gundo and had a spirited run. Sounds awesome, but it felt like it lost a bit of torque near the top...anybody have the same feel?

I didn t notice and I would think IF it had a negative effect it would be at low end torque anyway.... I do not believe it is enough of a pressure change in the exhaust to matter.

cerbo, wouldnt you think that higher backpressure helps with low end torque but affects power up top? maybe my mind is again playing since i have this idea that backpressure affects torque and high end hp.

yes, that s why lowering the backpressure (Gundo) hurts low end torque....
your first post and second post seem to be contradicting each other unless I am not understanding one of them.
I think less back pressure helps top end but hurts low end. Again I don t think the gundo is enough of a change to matter.... Someone will post something with actual results I hope.

you understood right brother except probably the thinking that gundo for me adds back pressure and not lower backpressure...

no noticeable difference, though I'm not aware of any before and after "Gundynos" :-)

I would think there might be. If its totally the same how come my pdk acted up after installing the mufflers. Its as if the ecu was relearning again. Slipping and sliding all over the gear shifts. After a long drive all was well again. The ecu had to adjust. Ergo computers noticed something different and had to adjust mapping.

There was no such period of adjustment when I did mine. I think it's coincidental at best.

Another thing i noticed was 2009 mufflers were a bit different from 2010. Hmmmm. It seemed that the pipe used for the 2009 was a bit bigger than the 2010's. The 2010 muffler has a bit of expansion towards the connection to the center silencer the 2009 was a straight size pipe. I will take a pic for better understanding.

Our cars have so much HP that even 3 hp is not even 1%. I don't think anyone would notice a 1% gain or loss.

My point is: Placebo or not, don't sweat it.
