Changing radiator control module or fan itself?

It seems like I'm having a failure of my radiator cooling fan ( drivers side ) or its control module . For the second time in a few weeks when pulling into garage the fan on passenger side was blowing at full speed ( very loud ) and no air was coming out of drivers side. Is there any way besides removing bumper to get to that control module or fan itself ? Thanks to all in advance. You have all been so much help already

As I replied to your other thread :
I had the same issue, only one fan on with loud noise...You do have to Remove bumper and clean the area, if needed clean between radiators too. Its best to install mesh grill on bumper to avoid this problem in future. if you need instructions on removing bumper let me now.

You can access the fan from the wheel well. After you remove that plastic trim, stick your hand up there and see if the fan freely spins. If it's stuck you might have a rock or something jamming it and by spinning it you might break it free from the obstruction. I had a rock wedged between my fan blade and the outer shroud. If the fan already spins freely then it might be the controller.

Had similar issue with my car. One of the fun wasn't working and car was overheating in slow traffic. I took it to the dealer to inspect it. during the inspection and found out that it was jammed and they were able to free it and its working fine till today. I doubt that you have to remove the bumper since the dealer charged me $60 for inspecting the problem. To remove the front bumper you will have to put significant amount of labor.
