New lug bolts?

Hi

I just got a really nice new set of wheels. However my old cruddy steel lug bolts that came with the car are much more visible than on my original Carrera III wheels.

Any suggestions for new lug bolts that will fit my 2006 C2? It might be nice to get something other than steel or black, maybe anodized in some color?

Thanks, Derek

I got a set of black bolts with my spacers from ECS Tuning. They aren't just coated black so they hold up really well. I would recommend them in a heart beat!

Well, if you are into Titanium do a search for TiKore. They are beautiful but run about $500 or $600 pet set I think. There are also sets for sale on eBay for $449. Finally, if you just have money to burn there is Poggipolino which are drop dead gorgeous Ti lugs but, if you can find them, I've heard they run about $1,500! You'd never have to worry about rust again with Ti - but if you use them make sure you coat the threads with Ti prep or a similar grease b/c you do run the chance of Galvanic reactions that will bond Ti (but having said this, I've been riding Ti bicycles for 20 years and have never had a seizing issue).

Sorry for not posting links but that is a trick I have not quite gotten the hang of on my iPad.

$500! for 20 bolts is insane

There is no way I'd pay that kind of money for lug bolts.

I'll just stick with some new steel ones in that case.

Yeah, it's interesting what people spend their money on - but it's their money and if it makes them happy what's it to me. In general I wouldn't spend that much money for lug bolts but maybe if I'd just dropped $6K+ for Fuchs and the bolts were a perfect compliment I might - I think once you pony up that much for rims another $500 might not register!

Good luck with your search!

Chrome Lug Bolts..

if chrome would work for you, you might look into Ralph Booth. He may or may not still be in business, but in 2009 I bought some from him and they were beautiful-- included the free rotating collar, and were individually wrapped in bubble warp when shipped-- they were like jewels. I believe I paid $295 for all 16 of them. really set off my chrome Carrera sport wheels (I know chrome is not the 'in' thing; but they sure look good on my basalt black Carrera s....)

Vital5er is infamous around these parts
Just bought a set of black lug bolts from USP for $75. Make sure you know if you'll need ball seat or cone.
