Rear bumper - Gen.1 vs Gen.2

Hi all,

I have a 997.1 C2S, and I'm thinking of changing the rear bumper cover.

Apart from the difference in the taillights, can a bumper cover for Gen.2 be installed on a Gen.1 easily? Do they share the same mounting points and screw / bolt positions?

Thanks.

Thanks. Might do DIY then.

But looks like OEM is the only option for Gen.2 taillight?

Look up atomic80 in the 997 turbo section. He did it to his 997.1 TT, looks like all he needed to do was to buy the 997.2 rear lights.
