Storing wheels with TPMS on them

Will the computer on my car pick up the signal from my spare set of wheels that also have TPMS on them? Wondering if I store the spares in attic above the car if it will be confused. Thanks!

Not an issue. I have 4 wheels with sensors stored in my garage 2 feet away from my car and it displays no confusion.

I store my wheels stacked on a cart about 50 feet from my 2009 Targa when its in the garage (the cart always has either the summer or winter wheels on it. I don't see it as a problem, never had an issue. The only problems I could see is if the sensor was in the car while the car was in motion, that pickup of multiple signals can cause a problem. Remember the transceiver in a wheel well knows which of the 4 sensors it might see is the one on its corner, so the wheels don't have to be too far away from the wheel well to not cause an issue.

Only time I had an issue was when I had the four new sensors I bought for my winter wheels stored in the frunk while I drove home. All kinds of messages As soon as I was home, the sensors remained stored 'near' the car for a while as new tires were delivered - in that configuration, never has an issue.

Thanks. Appreciate the input.

Most TPMS sensors have a centrifugal microswitch that is activated by the tire spinning to not kill the battery of a sensor at rest. you should be fine. I store all of my winters in the garage next to where the cars are parked.
