TPMS question..

I'm getting a warning light that says i have partial tpms. My right back wheel shows o as a value but there is air in the tire. Is there a problem with the sensor or is it tire related. The tire looks ok but i haven't had a chance too check tire pressure. thx! Howard

if your car is 6 -7 year old the battery in the TPMS is dead. Most likely all are due for replacement. If the car isn't that old could be just one bad sensor. Dealer can ( or you could do it yourself with a Durametric tool ) check the remaining battery life.

Thanks Dadio. The problem went away by itself for the moment. Thanks for the info, the car is a 2011. So each wheel sensor has it's own battery?

when only one wheel shows psi you know other 3 are dead. batteries have a shelf life based on manufactured date therefor after 4-5 years they are toast. I ordered from below. Getting new wheels powdercoated this week and installing tge new tpms.
