How long to install a Porsche Sports Exhaust plus button?
#16
I had the PSE installed along with the Sport Mode software and switch on my 997 4S Cabriolet.
The installation was 8 hours (approximately $1,300). The exhaust system was approximately $2,300 and the software and switch was approximately $1,200.
Hope this helps.

And for this $$$ exhaust system and installation costs how many HP do you figure you gained at the rear wheels? I guarantee you for what you got VS what you spent that was quite an outlay of money for each HP. Do you really need a exhaust system with an on/off switch that you are going to leave on 95% of the time anyway?
I got the same exhaust sound for $200 at my local muffler shop. Did I gain any HP? No, but I wasn't expecting any. I get plenty of thumbs up on the sound.
GUNDO it, baby, and spend the rest of your cash on a nice set of wheels.

I had PSE on my old 996 from factory and I found it annoying that it would automatically switch to quiet mode when it reaches 3.5k+ RPM. I ended up disconnecting the solenoid vacuum switch to make it stay on 100% of the time. I later on upgraded to a 997.1 which didn't have PSE. I missed the sound so much I searched around for a used PSE. I found one on ebay for less than $500, paid $200 for installation without the ON/OFF button. Without it, it stays in load mode all the time. Love it.
