Dectane help!
Dectane help!
Hey guys, I'm looking for some help with my dectane tail lights, since I can't seem to get a response from orange tuning. The rear left light goes out after about 3-5 minutes of driving, and I get the tail light out error message. If I turn the lights off and on again, they work for another 3-5 min then go out once more. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I did a bunch of searching and found that lots of times it's the resistor that's gone bad. Could anyone provide me a link for those resistors that came with the tail light or another similar one? Thank you
I had the same issue but mine never came with resistors. After searching and tons of reading, you have to make sure the resistors are connected to the correct wire. Depending on what the error msg you're getting, you'll need to find the correct wire and tap the resistor to it.
Before purchasing new resistors, make sure you confirm the resistors are connected to the correct wire. You might need an additional resistor like my situation. My right tail light required one resistor for the brake light. My left tail light required two resistor, one for the brake light and one for tail light power.
Read up on this thread if you haven't already done so. Scroll down to the middle of the page and you'll see the pictures with the labels on the wire. It's very informative and should help you with your issue. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-lights-6.html
Here's the resistors (50W 6Ohm) that I purchased from Amazon for $5.49 with free 2 day shipping if you have PRIME
I'm confident this should solve your problem.
Do let me know if you have any questions.
