Test drove the 991S and liked it, but it was a bit too pricey for my budget. Afterwards I test drove a 2009 4S PDK with Sports Chrono. Liked it a lot and decided to get it. Porsche Downtown LA gave a decent trade-in for my 997.1S. It's Carrera White ext/ black int. The Sport Adaptive Seats are great and the added Navi/Bluetooth technology brings the car into the 21st century.

In Sport Plus mode the PDK and engine feel awesome. Much better pull than my 997.1S manual. The extra traction of the AWD is tangible. The steering feels more heavy tough.

Wohoo congrats. The 991 can be very pricey and although the interior is a bit more refined I preferred the steering feel of the 997.2. Enjoy it!

 

I was thinking of getting the same black vinyls/rings for my headlights. Looks great.

Nice find! I went sort of the other way around, from a 2006 C4 to a 2009 C2S PDK. One of the very first things I noticed on the test drive was how much lighter the C2S steering was than the C4... not necessarily better... just lighter. I also had more understeer in the C4, but it responded nicely to throttle adjustments and was never really a problem. It was definitely a different handling experience.

I must admit, I certainly miss the wider hips of the C4. I was surprised how obvious the difference was when viewed through the sideview mirror. The car suddenly felt skinny... but I quickly got used to it.

Beautiful car! Enjoy that new power and discovering how to best use the PDK.
