I had a center radiator kit installed on my 997s and it raised the front center of the bumper so it is not flush with the hood. anyone else have this issue? is this standard?

Since non-gt3 center radiators vent from the bottom, I was planning to cut the 4 holes at the bottom of the bumper marked by Porsche for this exact reason.

I didn't know they were marked for cutout, that may make the decision easier. My oil was running up 225+ at Watkins two weeks ago.

225 is not that bad. My car has never gone over 225, even when I push it hard. I don't have a third radiator.

Hood is in the proper position if it is lower than the bumper and would not be effected by the radiator install.

In the old air-cooled cars yes. However in the water cooled units I believe there is an oil/engine coolant heat exchanger located just above the crank case. So heat from the engine oil is transferred to the coolant and then cooled by the front radiators.

EDIT: All Tiptronic cars have the 3rd radiator as standard in order to cool the transmission fluid. in the same fashion as the engine oil.
