Condensation on Outside of Windshield
Condensation on Outside of Windshield
I'm getting a little bit of condensation on the outside of the windshield..driver's side about four inches above wipers. Outside temp probably 80...high humidity. I don't know if this is normal or if perhaps I've something set incorrectly that might cause this. No big problem, but a little annoying. Thanks.
This can happen with any car when the A/C is on in very humid weather. What you can do to minimize this is to divert the air away from the windshield and utilize the dash vents ( or foot well vents) for the cold air.
This happens to me all the time, and it's both annoying and distracting. It helps a lot by manually diverting the air to dash vent. I also saved it under Individual memory to make sure it's not blowing to the windshield whenever I start the car.
After suppressing the urge to say "that is called rain", I remembered that this happens all the time when the AC works well (blows cold) and I vent mainly to the defrost vents (which prevents the very cold air striking me directly, but still coming my way).
What you can do:
If outside temp/conditions allow, raise the temp so some warm air (heater air) gets more mixed into the A/C air - thus the air isn't as cold.
As others suggested, direct the A/C air out of other vents - say the footwells.
