Trying to figure out why this Turbo Wing one hasn't sold.

Price still a little high @ $899.00?
Unknown seller?

Can you guys give feedback please? Thanks.

These are available for more money, but with all the parts. It would be quite a pain to source the wiring harness. Not to mention the rear wrong is quite expensive and the hydraulic lift motor is also very expensive. Makes a complete one for $2k seem like a bargain. Not so much the price perhaps as the additional parts that would be required to use it. Even if you went with fixed struts instead of the lift motors. A damaged piece also doesn't add to the appeal. Sorry to rain on the parade.

Yup, I have read the threads regarding the amount of effort (time, parts, splicing, relocation of fans, hydraulic custom brackets, air filter housing retrofit, etc.) to retrofit these onto our cars. IMO, this effort is the one driving the supply and demand (i.e., prices) for the turbo wing.

Been thinking about a wing. At the moment 80% ducktail, or 20% turbo tail. I am old with oil/air-cooled Pcars so I am somewhat biased towards the classic ducky.

Sorry I thought you were the seller lol!

Not a good value at any price. This is buying someone else's problems. They are available complete occasionally and even from converted cars, really simplifying installation. Also don't waste your time with something that was damaged.

I have been thinking about the Porsche 5M car and since my car is if the same color, I thought a turbo tail project would be a beginning.

Perhaps if I found a midnight blue tail, and since I am somewhat handy, I might swing my preference to turbo tail from ducky.

I am going to assume that you never had issues since your hydraulics were never installed and by making the wing fixed? Did you replace tha air box? lastly, did you have to fabricate anything to keep the lid upright when servicing the engine?

Thx.

I bought one with hydraulics, top wing, and brake light for barely more than that. The hydraulic assembly alone is $$$ so I don't think it's a good deal at all.

Not true, the wiring harness and all the other parts are easily obtained from your dealer.

Perhaps the pain is really in the price! I'm sure you're not walking out with the harness for $50!
