Any Solution to the door closing with a branng rather than a thud?

dealer checked and aligned, ni internal damage but still if your not gentle the door closes with a cheap brannnggg rather than a solid thud. Try our the 991's r8's all benzes and bmw's youll know what im saying. Is there a solution other than changing the whole car or filing up the door with dynamat? 991 mechanism looks same but sound different. There is that thing on the bottor of the door though that holds it whrn it closes, thats new...

I am not 100% sure what you are referring to without a vid.

I have not looked at the 991, MB's and Bimmers lately. However, my "uneducated guess" is that our door locking mechanisms do NOT have grease on them. When I bought my 997, the dealer pointed out about how the 'hook' is greaseless (which is good to me).

Take a look at the other cars and see if their door locking mechanisms are grease-free also. Or grease them and see (you can always take out the grease afterwards if we are wrong.
