Shop in Los Angeles to do Gundo Hack
So I've been browsing around but couldn't find any good answers.
I'm looking for a place to get a "gundo-hack" done on my mufflers. Preferably closer to Torrance if possible. Does anyone know of a shop that has good experience doing this? Also pricing would be good to know too.
Thanks everyone!

Gundo hack, you say? Yes,yes, and yes.
For the most part, any muffler shop can do this. Do an image search for "gundo hack" print the page or use your phone, point to it and say this is what I want. Most people, from what I've heard, use 1in-1.5in pipe for it. I used 2in on mine because I like it loud.
As for the price, should be a couple hundred (depending on the shops hourly rates)

What set up are you going to since you are taking them off?

they are about 300-350 from fister yes, however you send in your old mufflers, so its $300 + your old OEM mufflers. I'm selling you my Fister D mufflers and you keep your old ones and you can sell them or keep them for later if you want to bring car back to OEM.

I went with 2" pipes, and paid $300, at my neighborhood Midas shop. I ended up with a beautiful roar, that only got better when I later added Fabspeed cats. It really adds presence. Everyone, myself included, tends to overthink this job. It's very simple, and any muffler shop with basic competence should be able to do it.

Had mine done while still on the car at Mike’s Performance Exhaust & Radiator: 221 W Florence Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90003.

Some months back I went the GUNDO Hack route with 2" pipes AND Billy Boat Cross Pipes to eliminate the center muffler on my 2009 997.2 C2 with PDK.
Being that you have the side mufflers out it's a great time to substitute the center muffler with the BB pipes. I bought them from JEGS for $576 and they include shipping. Great price since BB sells the for ~$760 on their site and the other identical option, Sharkwerks, goes for $900 plus shipping.
Net,net... I couldn't be happier! Nice sound and not overly load below 3,000 RPM's. After that, nothing but smiles!
