Started my car on Sunday morning. I heard a little pop after depressing the clutch. Car started fine but couldn't get into any gear.
I searched and believed that my pressure plate is bad. I can shift into gears when engine turned off.

I called Alex at Sharkwerk and he quoted $800 for clutch and pressure plate kit and $1k for labor.

What should they look for while the transmission if off the car?

RMS...(rear main seal). if you have not changed your gear oil... have them do that at the same time.


Consider plug replacement ? I swapped plugs/coils at 40K on my rig.
Brake flush every 2 years.
power steering fluid...dirty? change it.


Are you the orig owner? clutch at 27k, huh? strange.


EDIT! I just saw your car just ran out of cpo 30 days ago... have you tried your local dealer, and see if big brother will goodwill you a new clutch yet? that's where I would go first. good luck!!

 

Bought the car 2 years ago with 24,000 miles.
Dealer replaced all spark plug 2 years ago.

I don't think CPO COVER clutch or pressure plate right? And it's more than 30 days after expiration date

 

Hey, all you can do is ask, right? doesn't hurt.
I had a previous 911 clutch replaced once on the house. car had stupid low miles, warranty was expired, but it was a goodwill.


Give that a shot first. so, you've only driven the car 2k miles in 2 years?
