Have you considered either a stock Porsche short shifter, or perhaps a numeric racing shifter? Numerics race cables are out of this world too if changing out the shifter. the oem cables suck! ...poor feel.
I installed B&M. Very happy with it. I had Porsche SSK on my old 996TT so honestly, if you know the nuances and can fiddle with it, B&M is half the price and does the trick. OEM cables indeed suck. I am planning to look into motorsport ones.

The numeric cables are so robust, I don't see ever needing to replace cables again. What do the motorsport versions cables do differently than the oem units? what are the spec differences?
