HRE P43 vs. Forgestar CF10
Our beloved phones and big screen TVs are made in China, and you don't hear people refusing to buy them because of that fact.
It doesn't matter what brand the wheel or where it's made, a big enough pot hole will damage it.

Seems like the wife factor takes the HREs out of consideration anyway. If the you like the price and look of the Forgestars, go with those. If you bend one, you can buy a new complete set and you'll still be saving money over the HREs.
If they were even half as bad as the brand-conscious crowd makes them seem, you'd have seen posts from actual owners. Most forgestar owners I see on the forums seem happy with them.

Yes, I made the decision to go with HRE's. Went with Matte Gunmetal P43's specifically.
I remember long ago in my BMW days, all the kids on the forums were putting the popular cheap wheels of the day on their cars and having all kinds of issues. However, the BBS's, HRE's, Hamann's, etc. out there always held up.
Yes, any wheel can bend with the right hit. Even the HRE reps on this forum admit to that, but they follow it up by saying that is they have A+ service in the event of an issue for theircustomers. That is why I went with HRE.
Also, once I heard that Forgestar are a subbrand of iForged, it was over for me. Far, far too many bad memories of the iForged brand from the old BMW days.
I'll post pics of the HRE's once I get them mounted

Question for WheelB, so based on your comments do you also consider the flow formed wheels now offered by HRE to be sub-standard. And if that is the case why would a reputable firm such as HRE now offer such an inferior product? I do understand the process for creating flow formed wheels which you listed in your reply, as I researched this topic when I purchased the wheels. It is still a far different process from a true cast wheel. I'm sure that if price were not so dramatic everyone would opt for forged wheels. As I stated in a previous post I have had the forgestars on my carrera for three years no with zero issues. I'm that same time my wife's Audi had two bent factory rims and those were forged. A big enough pothole will kill any wheel where I live. And it hurts a lot less knowing that the cost of that wheel is roughly 1/4 what it could be.
