Farewell. Stepped over to the dark side
Have been a forum follower here since I acquired my 997.1 C4S, but now I must move on. I have replaced it with a 2014 Jaguar F Type V8 S convertible (new - couldn't pass up the deal).
Thank you to the members here for their support and knowledge. This set of discussions make a great car even better.
Perhaps I will be back in the fold if I find the right 356.
Thanks, and good night.

The only other choice worth having, in my wildly narrow, biased opinion.
Nearly bought one myself in January, until I returned to the fold with my C4S instead.
Certain odd balance there between your exit and my entry.
Enjoy my would-be Jaguar, and I'll commence to enjoy the C4S in your stead.

Nice, I've driven the F-type on numerous occasions. Love the sound of the V8 and the 'snap, crackle, and pop' sound of the exhaust. I had considered it but ended up with a Boxster S instead. Enjoy your new Jag.

I came inches from getting a Jag when I found my 997. I'd never had a Jag, and always loved the lines. I've had Porsche's, though, and always wanted to get back into one. They're really comparable cars In many ways. Personally, I'm thrilled I ended up with another Porsche. I hope you're as thrilled with the F Type. It's a very sexy car. But, as others have said, you'll be back.😜
