997 turbo wheels (Another thread...)
Yeah I know, I'm making yet another thread about it, even tho there's plenty of them out there.
But they're all messing up my mind. So I'll ask personaly instead.
I have mk1 997 turbo wheels, will they fit on my 2007 C2 997? (Not an S, a normal 325 hk)
With kind regards, Jonathan.

I believe to get the most accurate answer you need to look on inside of wheel, see number(51/57/whatever)and post that and then someone will chime in....I may be wrong but I think they offered the turbos fo NB and WB

The wheels were offered in narrow body and in wide body versions. The offset for the wide body cars is 51mm for the rear wheels. It's 67mm for the narrow body cars.
I think that some people have successfully used wide body wheels on narrow body cars, but I'm not sure.

The WB wheels will fit but some think they are too far out. I m sure you ll get more stone spray and I think you ll need 295 s and not 305 tires to keep a little more space.
As far as spacers I think someones idea to add a 15 mm spacer will only work against you as they will only push the wheels out further.
Even aftermarket wheels use a more aggressive offset of like a 54 or 55 and not a WB turbo wheel of a et51. Hope that clears that up for you.

They work the other way. A 15mm spacer pushes the wheel out. 51mm - 15mm = 46mm of offset. I know, it's confusing.

simple answer is yes... I'm running sport classics (oem fuchs style) and they are .5 wider. all you need to do is run a slightly smaller tire if you are worried about rubbing, and I'm lowered on KW V3 coilovers as well....but you should be fine lots of c2s are doing it.

yes, 1/2 inch wider rims are not an issue. You can get a wheel the correct offset and be 1/2 inch wider and IMO that is the correct way to fit the wheel.

No because the turbo wheels are already more offset as if you added spacers to NB wheels. The turbo wheels will be flush with the outer edge of your fender lips on a NB car. They will fit fine.
