Tail Light Help!

My left tail light went out today. I searched the DIY but only found a complicated deal on the entire unit replacement. I just need to replace the bulb. Anyone know what bulb to buy and how to replace? 2006 911S. Thanks in advance!

i have the same car and did mine once. easy peasy - pop the engine bay, just inside the tail light are 3 screws. take out the middle one and the whole assembly will come out. i do have the extra one laying around that was part of a 2 pack that i used and the markings are osram 7225llf 12V 21W/4W but can't remember the commercial name of it. that'll do 'er.

Open your owner's manual to page 267 and you'll find a bulb chart and page 276 has a very good diagram showing how to do it all. It's not complicated. If you don't have an owner's manual send me your email address and I'll send you a pdf version - good document to have.

^^ good info.

I was surprised we didn't have one! If you need any other DIY help, you can reference our tech articles here. I'm going to have them add tail light bulbs to the list. haha!
