Convertible top / car cover help

Anyone have any suggestions on how not to get lint from a car cover all over the convertible top? I have a porsche factory cover that leaves white fuzz from the inside stuck to the fabric top. I have thought about placing plastic on before the cover but don't want to lose the breathing factors. Any help us much appreciated.

Chad

You should be able to wash it off and use any tape and lift the lints off the cab top. Also use 303 convertible top protection to avoid future hassle. Good luck

I'm looking to not have to clean it off every time after using the cover. I will reapply the 303 and see if that helps but that darn fuzz likes to stick.

That's a good idea. I've not washed it, maybe that will remove the lint. I've tried blowing it off, it just grabs into the fabric. IF it was a black cover or a tan top I'd be all set ;0). Maybe I'll try my 996tt cover and if that works and the 997 cover fits the TT then I have another option. Thx for the suggestions

I've never had that problem with my factory cover .... (? Possible to exchange it for another one??)... A good trick for the convertible top is to try using a vacuum on it.

My wife has one of those sticky lint rollers to remove fuzzies from her work clothes; maybe that would work?

ive used those, works well, i used a new wash brush and it left a ton of fuzzies on the roof, took approx half an hour to get rid of them all, and half of a lint roller

I just use an old folded bed-sheet... put down first over ragtop before putting cover on.

Aside from mitigating fuzzies being picked up/transferred to soft top, it makes positioning cover a snap too as fabrics then do not snag each other.

Good luck

I use black cotton towels to dry the car all the time, since the black convertible top picks up lint so easily.
So when I put on the cover I spread on of my towels on the top first, then the cover.
