2009 Carrera. Time to replace the shocks and I need help.

Hello everyone! I am new member, I have owned my 2009 carrera 59K for 2 months now, it is time to replace the shocks so I am faced with these 3 options:

Bilstein Touring (OE Replacements)
Bilstein Heavy Duty
Bilstein Sport

What do you guys suggest I do to keep the current comfort this car offers?
Does the Sport model lowers the car?
Does the Sport model makes the car stiffer?

Thank you!

Ride height is solely determined by springs.

How and where do you drive the car?

Why is it time to replace the shocks? Was the car tracked? Is it lowered? 59k seems very early to me.

Shocks will wear prematurely when you have aftermarket lowering springs. I would just do the OEM replacements, they will give you the OEM feel if that is what you want. Bilstein PSS10 is adjustable both dampering and height.

I have a different opinion on this, the ride height can also be affected by positioning the base of the springs lower on the strut. I have seen this modification on cars abandoned by the aftermarket.

I am assuming this is the solution to my problem because once I take the shocks out to inspect I would like to replace them.

The rear feels lose and very noisy, noticiable over bumps and specially on the rear right passenger. This side almost feels like something is lose, there is a loud knocking sound that you hear when going over bumps, I would like to speculate that it comes from the top strut mount.

I am all ears, I am new to this car.

I installed Bilstein B6's recently (with TechArt springs) and am extremely happy with the ride.
Very direct and responsive, without being too stiff.
I have a detailed thread about the installation if interested.

Please point me to that thread, I would like to remove the rear suspension with some kind of previous knowledge.

Maybe something is loose like the muffler mount or something?
A bad shock would be bouncy right?

I have an 06 with 75k and expect many more miles out of them. When I do replace them I'll go with Ohlin R&T's.
