I recommend looking into a 997.2 C2 for a little more. Similar power, updated look, no IMS/RMS issue, and newer.

QWKSLVRNSX is infamous around these parts
The price is decent considering it's an '06 C4S with 41K miles, but other than that, it's pretty run of the mill in terms of options. But frankly, the interior looks like *** for having only 41K miles! Take a closer look at the pics. If the climate control switches bother you, those are the least of your worries. It looks like every single painted, rubberized, plastic trim piece in this car is either faded, peeling, wrinkled, scratched, etc…even trim that rarely gets touched, like the sunroof control panel, ashtray lid, seat trim, memory buttons, hood & trunk release latches, etc... Look at the driver's side seat rail, it looks corroded. The interior in general looks like it's been soaking in salt water! I have never seen a black interior (typically hides blemishes) look this molested on a car w. @ 40K. Even if the car is mechanically perfect, I would personally pass as could not live w. an interior like that, nor would I want to devote the time, effort & money to refresh it. It certainly looks to lived a rough life and that is indicative of how this car was likely treated IMO.

I agree with DC2000 and qwkslvrnsx. Perhaps continue the search for something a bit newer, although if your heart is set on a 4S you may need to alter your budget for a 997.2 to do so. This car looks like it was not treated well and personally would raise red flags for me. I'd be worried about the near future for maintenance and repair bills. Maybe you are more inclined to do some work and clean this up yourself?

I am not sure how long you have been searching, but as others mentioned to me be patient, the right car will come along. My search felt like a long grind and I thought I just wasn't meant to own one of these fine machines, but then it showed up and I was able to get decent pricing. Even with the lowish mile, certified car I purchased, there were some things that needed to be fixed, so just consider the potential issues. If you are still comfortable, then do what makes sense for you and your budget.

I think the car he was looking at sold. The car they list with 41k is not the same one. He was looking at one with 56k and it looked a lot nicer on the inside than this one.
