Question Airbag Warning Light - Help Please

Hi, I have a '07 997.1 GT3, and I cannot turn off the Airbag Warning Light. Have used Durametric and the Error Code is: C141 'Communication PCM (display)'. Have erased the fault code several times but this one keeps coming back.

I have recently replaced the OE CDR24 with a aftermarket stereo, and I understand this can cause problems. To the best of my knowledge, this vehicle never had sat nav.

Would appreciate any suggestions please.

Problem Solved!!

The problem was actually caused by my fitting aftermarket seat belts. I found out after much trial & error that while the aftermarket buckles show zero ohms when clipped, the Porsche OE ones show 100 ohms. Fitted a 100 ohm resistor to my aftermarket buckles and faults disappeared, so no more pesky red airbag warning light. Relief!!

sorry to revive this old thread, my airbag light is on with the same error code C141 communication PCM. I have had my aftermarket deck from more than 2 years without a problem. Is there anything else i should be looking into?

Did you replace your steering wheel, seats, or seatbelts recently? If you did any of these without first disconnecting the battery, that's the cause of the airbag warning light. You'll need Piwis or Durametric to reset it.

Thanks petza, i did replace my seats without disconnecting the battery. Now, each time i clear the code with durametric it comes right back.

I would disconnect the battery again and recheck your connections, then reconnect the battery. The only time I had this happen with a recurring error is when on my Cayenne I changed my steering wheel and one of the plugs for the airbag wasn't completely seated. Once I found the loose connection and cleared the code a final time, it never returned. You might have a bent pin or not properly seated connector under one of the seats.
