997.1 Front lip/spoiler help.

I recently found a group of people looking at the Maxton Design 997.1 front lip. My thoughts was "Damn, that thing looks insane, I need to get one!", and so I did. I test mounted the spoiler quick to see what it would look like on the car. The spoiler itself looks very rad and awesome. But on another note, the lip take up so much space under the car. With a lowered 997 running on 19" rims, this is not an option for me, I could barely get over all the speedbumps before, how about now?

Is there any affordable 997.1 lips out there that doesn't take up as much space? I can live with a few cm, but this thing is insane. Check the pictures and you'll understand.

Don't get me wrong, the spoiler both looks insane and fit pretty good, but I just can't use it on a lowered 997 in Sweden (as Sweden seems to love 2 thigs, roundabouts and speedbumps....)

Try GT3TEK lip, it doesn't take space down low but protruding forward a bit more which look aggressive and livable on the street

+1 with the GT3Tek lip
I did a little photoshop on the 2 vent opening to see if it look like GT3Tek 997.2 lip

How difficult is it to remove the existing lip (mine is damaged from hitting driveway, etc)?

if your old lip is aftermarket, I think it is held together with double side tape & screws at the bottom. It shouldn't be that hard if you jack up the car high enough.

On my 997.1TT, there are 2 screws (T20, I think) and a bunch of clips. Start by removing the screws (both where lip and fender well liner meet). Then, slowly work the lip out of the clips by pulling towards you while also pushing towards the ground. Took me <5 min to remove mine. You don't even need to jack up the car (stock height) or drive up on ramps. Easy peasy

I have a 2014 911_50 and would like to know if the Sport Spoiler Lip is secured in place with any screw or tabs ?? or does it simply snap into place ?? Dealer replaced the old one several weeks ago and now it missing . I do have a sloped drive, and yes have scrapped the Lip from time to time.. but have had that problem since I've owner the car ...

I ended up installing the spoiler after all. When I fitted it, I managed to end up with 10cm in the front and 11 on the sides. Should work, hopefully haha.
Still at winterstorage, so haven't tested it over speedbumps just yet.

Make sure and take the speed bumps at as much of an angle as you can. My 993 was lowered and some driveways were nasty to get in/out of.

Not really today, but the last thing I did on my 997.
I installed my Maxton Design lip, and I'm pleased with the result. Haven't tested it yet over speedbumps as it's in winter storage atm. Ended up with 10-11 cm between the lip and the road, will hopefully work just fine if I take the high bumps from the side.

What do you guys think?

I know this is an older post, but great looking lip. I just purchased one for myself and was trying to test fit it without removing the bumper first. I noticed that the front inner fender well extends about 2 inches below the bumper and impedes the spoiler from sitting flush to the corner. How did you get around this when you reinstalled? Did you cut the fender well (ugh) or did you just bend it to allow the lip to sit flush? ps. The install directions are poor to say the lease. Thanks
