Route guidance not active message

This message came up for no apparent reason and I can't get rid of it. 2007 Carrera S.
Tried to read the manuals, but I forgot to get my PHD...Help??

Just push the leaver controlling cluster menu up or down. Got stuck there once just when I bought the car.

I usually leave it on this message. So when you do use the nav it changes with arrow directions. I think the choice is either this or other stats such as average speed or distance till empty

You probably have the OBC (onboard computer) display of the cluster in the position where it would give navigation directions (distances to turns and the like) and the last navigation usage has completed, so there is no ongoing navigation to inform you about.

Use the stalk to select a different display in the OBC display - say miles left on the tank.
