Which Catless xpipe is better?

Hi everyone so ive been going back and forth and cant really find much of a difference between these two other then just $$$$

http://www.maxspeed-motorsports.com/...e_997_NHP_Cat-
Bypass_Pipes_X-Pipe_Design_.html

and

http://www.fabspeed.com/porsche-997-...bypass-x-pipe/

What or actually who is better? Concerning material used to make as well as power difference? I have fabspeed headers and sports muffler.

It is my understanding that X pipes actually cost low end torque compared to crossover pipes. They may make additional HP at the upper end, but unless you drive around all day at 5K RPMs you won't see much difference on the street. Sound, however will be different.

+1

With X design you open up the exhaust too much and at low RPM the exhaust flows slower thus loosing power. You do gain at High RPM because then the bigger diameter of the Xsection helps flow all of that exhaust. Probably closer to 6k rpm. But for DD on the street its a waste.
I have crossover and couldn't be happier with low end performance of my car. Its a DD and most of driving is below 5K

I think you answered you own question, real world probably isn't 1-2hp/tq diff between them. That being said a matching system all fab you can look at their site and get a dyno sheet of one they have done. See if the numbers are what youre after in a given RPM range. Maybe if you tire of exhaust an all matching system might be slightly ezer to sell.
On the other hand saving the six bill difference you can take it and have it dyno'd and know your numbers for sure and have a bill or two left for a tank of high test and steak dinner.
Good Luck with your decision

SammyD
