DME Report
I decided to put my ECU back to stock from the Softronic Tune I had done a couple years ago. I noticed a big difference from the tune back to stock. The engine felt "tighter" in stock tune. Now the Softronic tune was done with a Fabspeed CAI installed as that's what I had when I had the tune done. When I put the stock air box back in, the car really performed badly. I say that because I could tell going back to the stock tune. It's very apparent that the tune does make a difference in the overall performance of the car and the engine. With the stock air box and a tune for a Fabspeed, it makes the engine run rich. I would hear a pinging from the engine when there is not enough RPM to take off. With the stock tune and stock air box, that ping does not happen.
The Sport Button still makes a difference in the performance when you press it. However I felt that the difference is bigger with the Softronic tune in place and the sport button pressed on and off. I send an email to Softronic, and a phone call, however never have been returned about a new tune without the Fabspeed CAI and use the same tune. Hoping for a new upload without further expense.
I do like the fell of the car now that's back to stock, as in more linear RPM feel, but having the tune makes the car have a bit more POP, which is always desired. Has anyone else put their car back to stock from a tune and see the difference?

Yea... you probably would have issues with passing smog in california with a tune that runs rich so it was a good idea to go back to stock to pass that. An aftermarket tune that was done well shouldn't give you problems, though...
As for the DME report - looks like a slight money shift, but after so many hours it probably didn't harm the engine if you're still running fine. The 1 ignition in range 5 might be a glitch. Nothing you can do about it now, just enjoy.

The reason I didn't pass smog was the O2 sensor was not registering due to the battery being disconnected during my tranny repair. When I put the ECU back to stock, all the sensors and history is reset. So now I have to drive and drive till the ECU updates itself and allows for the computer to read it. I hope Softronic gets back to me about a possible new program with a stock air box tune rather than a Fabspeed CAI which never was a CAI anyway. LOL
ECU tune changes the throttle tip in. More pop is not more performance or a better running motor. Most retuned throttles are smoother and more usable than 'Sport' which is just too twitchy and nonlinear. I recall reading about after market throttle reprogram which does just that and leaves running parameters the same. You have to search as I have no recollection. My Revo tune has a great throttle fwiw
