Lobster Wheels are back on!

OK - After three years, I decided it was time for another wheel change.

I had my lobsters on a shelf and decided to get them "redone". so I sent them off... good thing as it ends up they were in pretty bad shape. 11 minor bends between 4 wheels... wow!

I had them straightened, trued and then painted and clear-coated. I then added the following:

FRONT SET-UP
- New Black Lugs from ECS Tuning
- New 235/35R-19 BRIDGESTONE POTENZA S-04 POLE POSITION XL
- No spacers as I want to keep the factory scrub radius as front is critical since steering is applied

REAR SET-UP
- New Black Lugs from ECS Tuning
- New305/30R-19 BRIDGESTONE POTENZA S-04 POLE POSITION XL
- New 5mm Spacers for Back wheels from ECS Tuning
- NOTE: I have 15mm on shelf but think they are too wide with the 305's

I am really pleased with the look. Here are some pictures...

They look perfect. It is an old design but it is becoming a classic and the trend of straight spoke seen all over the place nowadays, will fade like all trends.

Besides, the Lobsters are by far the most resilient, safe and light wheels you can get.

Yes - The Lobster's are unique and they are getting better with age.

I am now wondering of the Black stone guards are better or should I go back to clear.... hmmm. Decisions.

I vote clear! They would better match your wheels. Plus, it's a cleaner look on a silver car.

The car looks great and I really like the Lobster Forks - classic and unique. Black mud guards look pretty cool too!

Looks great. I love the Lobster Forks especially lowered (H&R) and spacers. I'm going to have mine refinished as well. Great wheel and relatively lightweight.

I love the lobsters too. Seems people either love them or hate them.

I also always loved the Lobster wheels. So much that I found a set of 'lobster-esq' wheels for my Range Rover made by Overfinch.

Op, did you go with a special color? They look a shade or two darker than stock.

I really like the lobster claws/forks. This is the first car I've bought that I haven't been looking to replace the OEM wheels on immediately.

How do you like the Potenza S04? I'm torn between them or a set of RE-11's; I get a hefty discount being a Bridgestone employee

Too soon to tell. I do believe the S-04's will be quieter and a better ride than the RE-11's. However, the RE-11's will perform better if you track alot.
