Help with durametric code
Hey guys, got a durametric cable recently and scanned my car (997.2 GTS) which is not giving any warnings or CEL and drives fine which is why I was surprised to see this engine fault:
"2100 Throttle valve adjusting unit - driver implausible signal"
Any idea what it could be?
"2100 Throttle valve adjusting unit - driver implausible signal"

for P2100 i see:
P2100
Throttle valve adjusting unit – output stage
Diagnostic conditions
---Supply voltage 10 V ... 16 V
---Engine start
Possible fault causes
---Open circuit, short circuit to B+ or short circuit to ground of activation line for throttle valve adjusting unit positioning motor
---Power supply of positioning motor for throttle valve adjusting unit interrupted
---Throttle valve adjusting unit faulty
---DME control module faulty
might have been just a quick and since corrected hiccup. easy checks are to turn the key to ignition but not "on" and leave there for a min or so (supposedly "resets" the TBody) and check the wiring/connection to the TBody. beyond that, if it's driving fine, i'd simply clear the code, drive it 100 or so miles then recheck to see if it popped back up.

I agree with spiffyjiff's last paragraph that this could be a one-time anomaly. I've had a couple of other odd codes pop up over time (not this particular one). I would ask the service guys about it when I popped in for other service and they said it wasn't unusual for these cars to have occasional spurious codes that could just be cleared unless they were happening frequently or were related to some noticeable problem. The car stores them just in case it is a sign of something that will pay off later as a clue to the mechanic when/if something really does fail later.
Given that you haven't noticed anything indicative of a throttle problem, I think spiffy's advice just to clear it and see if it returns is reasonable. You can always note when you cleared it and pass that info on to the mechanic later on the unlikely chance it turns out to really indicate something.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll try the throttle body reset procedure and clear the code, hopefully it doesn't come back. Out of curiosity, where would one find a reference to this kind of information to help decipher future codes?

I ve had some codes also over the years that I could find the specific meaning but was told many have no attention required. So I reset and move on with no issues. Above is the throttle reset I do about once a year.
